PLC 8/29/12

1)  What are we going to do over the next week that contributes to our PLC learning topic?
This week we are going to put together a running list of technology that we are willing to try or things that we already do and are willing to share.
2)  How does this contribute to student learning?
Our purpose is to use technology to increase student engagement, by finding what we can learn we are able to implement in the classroom.
3)  How will the impact of this week’s work be measured?
We are measuring student engagement by tally mark on the school loop seating chart function.

PLC meeting 8/29/12

During this week, each member of our PLC will do two things:
1.  Come back with at least 1 "technology" that we want to learn about
2.  Come back with 1 "technology" that we use in our classroom

This will contribute to our PLC's study about technology by serving as a way to see what technology is out there.  From there, we will keep a running list of what we want to learn more about and implement in our classrooms.

We will measure student engagement by individually tracking how much each student is participating in class.  We can also measure engagement by seeing if there are changes in the assignments that students are completing.
